Art sites

Mon May 18, 2009, 6:15 AM
I was wondering which art sites people post at (other than here) For myself I post here, Epilogue, Art Wanted, Elfwood and occasionally digitalart, cgtalk and gfxartist.

I'll be intrigued to know where you do your posting?

:iconmetalsnail: I first saw Andreas's artwork at Epilogue and he has a very unique style and vision.

Go Checkout his DA pages and see a very unique artist's work.

Photo Question?

Sun Mar 22, 2009, 12:36 PM
First of all, Daily Deviation Wow! thanks soo much. Really unexpected because the Toast Noir is a few years old now! It's gonna take me some time to reply to comments now, but I'm so made up I probably reply to them all!

I need some advice, what is the best way to photograph a painting/drawing? My attempts all seem really awful even if I try barrel correction I still get skews all over the place.

I'm not a great photographer so if there's shutter speeds and stuff to make things better I wouldn't have a clue! My camera's a Samsung Nv5 by the way - any advice is appreciated believe me!!

A new art book

Wed Feb 25, 2009, 5:05 AM
I don't often buy drawing related books, I have a few Anatomy books and a few technique books for drawing and painting, I tend to buy artwork books more often than not. However, I recently purchased a book called FORCE Dynamic Life Drawing for Animators by Michael D Mattesi - I bought it thinking it might help me improve my life drawing skills, but it's turning out to be so much more!

I can't really describe it because I haven't finished reading it yet, but I must say it leaves me very excited about drawing. It's not like any art book I've ever read before!!

Has anyone read this one, or maybe even another drawing book that takes you in an unexpected direction?

New years resolution

My new years resolution is to try and paint more traditional work, find a stable career and lose some weight!
