Blue Planet by BillCorbett Blue Planet by BillCorbett
Some more old-school sci-fi.

I decided to rework an old picture of mine called blue planet where originally the view was from a blue colored surface. I practically repainted the whole thing and put in about ten times more detail. Now the blue planet refers to the one in the background.

Thanks for viewing!

I really like the series upto the children of dune, it kind of changes perspective during and after god emperor of dune (not in a bad way).

ha how many times I have thought 'ooh I will rework that old picture, it won't take long' and realised I could have started afresh and finished in a quicker time. Anyway Great work as always

lol! yeah I must admit I get a bit carried away sometimes. When I occasionally review my own pictures I just get the feeling I can do better with one or two of them and before you know it I've started repainting! Apparently it's quite a common trait, so I'm not alone in my madness :D

Thanks Andy man :)

When I can do rocks like you I'll never stop, after all without rocks we would have nothing to stand on :)

:) I should really try to reference them more and not do them out of my imagination, but I think it becomes more 'alien' if you do them out of your head :) Now I need to practice my Aliens!! :D

Wow look at all those details! You've created an amazing amount of depth and scale with this one using a minimal colour palette....
